The 8th semester students of the ISA program (Berklee’s International Studies Abroad)rossroads project Vol. 1 were asked to compose one piece in odd meters. The outcome was the C which was released free by F. Nakas Conservatory in June 2010
Crossroads is a special course, presented by Petros Kourtis in Philippos Nakas Conservatory (Athens) since 2006.
The course is based on the musical polyphony and special rhythmology characteristics of traditional Music, which uses primarily the complex –mixed meters for the structure of triptych Music - Song – Dance.
Crossroads lights up and analyzes musical characteristics of each different area of the Greek territory, aiming at making them applicable in modern music forms.
